In Paris in 1997, a company named Adonix used the codename "X" to refer to a new ERP product they were developing. The product was version 3 of their ERP software, and they ended up naming it “Adonix X3”.  

Sage purchased Adonix in 2005 and invested heavily in developing the software. Sage X3 was born. The solution continues to flourish with ever-growing functionality, cutting edge design, advanced features and cloud functionality. 

Pricing for Sage X3 depends on user count, functionality required, subscription type, and hosting needs, among other factors.

All data in the cloud is backed up in multiple locations and protected by bank-level security. 

The cloud is a name for types of computers (servers) which are stored remotely rather than in your own in-house data centre. These remote servers give you access to software and data through the internet. 

It’s called the “cloud” because when programmers were drawing up the original network diagrams, they drew circles around the icons for computers. When these computer icons were clustered together, the overlapping circles looked like clouds. 

Sage X3 runs on desktop or laptop (including Apple Mac, Windows, and Linux), smartphones (iPhone, Android phones, and Windows phones), and tablets (iPad, Android tablet, and Microsoft Surfaces). The software works on all popular browsers:
