Jodie Cariss is the founder of Self Space, a therapist with 20 years’ experience in the field and has fast become a leading voice advocating for accessible mental health support. She is the co-author of How to Grow Through What You Go Through, published by Penguin in 2022, and regularly contributes to panel talks, podcasts and media titles such as Stylist Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Vogue and The Times.
Since launching Self Space in 2018, Jodie has been dedicated to growing awareness and raising the profile of mental health support with the mission to have instant access to therapy services on every high street. Self Space has multiple sites across London and Manchester and a nationwide virtual offering with 100 multi-disciplined therapists and a corporate partner list that includes companies like Omnicom, Huel, Selfridges, Oatley, Havas, Depop, AMVDDBO, Grey, Adam&EveDDB and loads more.
Prior to training as a therapist, Jodie was a TV presenter and hosted popular TV shows including Fort Boyard, Milkshake, The Core, and spent three years as a wildlife presenter (where, sadly, she was also the most featured host on It Shouldn’t Happen to a Wildlife Presenter!)
